Africa’s brightest young talents are ready to shine on the world stage! The five teams that will represent the continent at the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup have been confirmed following intense qualification matches.
After several thrilling encounters across the African continent, Nigeria , Cameroon , Zambia , Ivory Coast , and Morocco (as hosts) have secured their tickets to this year’s prestigious tournament, scheduled to take place from October 17 to November 8, 2025, in Morocco.
Final Qualification Results
- Nigeria secured their place by defeating Algeria 4-0 on aggregate, following a goalless 0-0 draw in the second leg.
- Cameroon earned their spot after a 3-1 victory over Kenya in the second leg, completing a 4-1 win on aggregate.
- Zambia advanced in style, beating Benin 4-1 in the second leg to achieve a 6-2 aggregate score.
- Ivory Coast qualified in dramatic fashion. Although they lost 2-1 to Guinea in the second leg, their 1-0 win in the first leg made it 2-2 on aggregate. Ivory Coast progressed on the away goals rule.
- Morocco, as tournament hosts, automatically qualified and will proudly represent Africa at home.
A New Era for African Women’s Football
This year’s U-17 Women’s World Cup promises to be historic, not only because it will be hosted in Africa for the first time but also because it highlights the immense progress and growing investment in women’s football across the continent.
