Drusilla Lartey, also known in the Ghanaian media industry as Mz Dru, recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Just4WomenAfrica, sharing her inspiring journey of entering the vibrant media scene in Ghana after relocating from the UK in 2018. With a degree in communication and media studies from De Montfort University, her story is a testament to seizing unexpected opportunities and embracing a new cultural landscape.

Mz Dru’s move to Ghana was not planned but emerged from personal circumstances. Following her father’s passing, she initially came to Ghana for a brief respite. However, what was meant to be a temporary stay evolved into a career-defining moment. During her interview, she revealed that upon feeling bored within the first five months, she took the initiative to walk into a TV and radio station, seeking employment. This bold step opened doors for her, leading to an opportunity to host radio show an experience that brought her immense joy and fulfillment.

Reflecting on her unexpected journey, Mz Dru expressed how Ghana had become her newfound home, resonating with her sense of purpose through her work in both television and radio.
