Esinam Seade is a formidable force in both leadership and trade advisory, with a master’s degree in International Relations and Affairs. Her impressive career includes serving as an external consultant to the German industry and commerce in Ghana, where she plays a pivotal role in fostering investment and job creation in emerging markets.

Esinam’s leadership journey began with her historic election as the second female Student Representative Council President (SRC) at the University of Ghana in 2016. In an interview with Just4WomenAfrica, she shared that leadership comes naturally to her, emphasizing the power of empowerment and impact from the front lines. Her decision to contest the SRC presidency amidst male competitors was met with objections and inappropriate remarks about her gender, yet Esinam remained resolute in her ambition and focus.

Reflecting on the challenges she faced during her campaign, Esinam highlighted the inappropriate comments directed at her, including remarks questioning a woman’s ability to lead based on her biological makeup. However, she likened these objections to mere distractions, staying focused on her goal like someone sleeping next to a loud speaker—determined and undeterred.

Since her university days, Esinam has delved into trade advisory, leveraging her expertise to support investments in Ghana and the sub-region. Her work involves facilitating entry into emerging markets, aiding in setting up businesses, attracting investments, and contributing to job creation—an essential role in driving economic growth and development.

When asked about her future aspirations, particularly regarding the possibility of becoming the next World Trade Organization director, Esinam remained humble, acknowledging that the future holds endless possibilities.

Esinam Seade’s story is one of resilience, determination, and a commitment to breaking barriers in leadership and business. As she continues to make strides in the world of trade advisory, her impact resonates not only in Ghana but also across the global business landscape, shaping a brighter future for emerging markets and empowering women in leadership roles.
