Early Inspiration
Nubuke revealed that her journey as a content creator began when she got her first laptop. She explained that she draws inspiration from anything she observes, always looking for stories to tell. Having dreamed of becoming an actor, she found her way to content creation as a natural extension of her passion for storytelling.
The Birth of Her YouTube Channel
When asked what inspired her to start her YouTube channel, Nubuke shared that it stemmed from a desire to share her experiences. She said, “When I did things and had fun, I thought, why not share with the rest of the world?”
However, starting her channel wasn’t without challenges. Deciding what to share and what to keep private was a significant hurdle. She remains mindful of the internet’s permanence, carefully curating her content to avoid putting out information she might later regret.
Crafting Her Stories
Nubuke described her storytelling process as a mix of structured writing and natural flow. She carries a notebook to jot down ideas and drafts stories but often lets her video footage guide the narrative. Additionally, she learns from others by saving inspiring content in a folder and experimenting with their techniques.
Ghana Elections and Content with a Purpose
Nubuke recently created content centered on Ghana’s 2024 elections, driven by her belief in the importance of documenting people’s engagement in democracy. She highlighted the value of sharing how communities exercise their right to vote, commending Ghana’s democratic progress.
Collaborating for Change
Nubuke also spoke about her collaboration with The Or Foundation, an organization dedicated to challenging the fast fashion industry and its environmental impact. Through her work with the foundation, she highlighted the harmful effects of discarded used clothing on the environment.
Lessons as a YouTuber
One of the biggest lessons Nubuke has learned is the importance of consistency. She emphasized that showing up regularly leads to growth, a principle she believes applies to all areas of life. “Many people overthink, wanting everything to be perfect,” she said. “But I believe perfection comes with consistency.”
