Our Women-in-Plumbing Training Program Begins in Accra

At Just4WomenAfrica, we believe that skills change stories and this week, a powerful new chapter began.

We officially launched the Just4Women Skills Lab with the kickoff of our Women-in-Plumbing Training Program in Accra. We’re proud to introduce our very first two trainees: Anne Tetteh and Gaisie Ampong two bold young women ready to challenge stereotypes and take control of their futures.

Why Plumbing?

Plumbing is more than just a trade it’s a gateway to financial independence, job security, and dignity. It’s one of the few professions resistant to automation, always in demand, and open to anyone willing to learn. For women like Anne and Gaisie, it represents an opportunity to break into a male-dominated industry and change the narrative.

Meet Our Pioneers

  • Anne Tetteh is a determined young woman with a curious mind and a hunger to learn. She’s eager to gain hands-on experience and one day start her own plumbing business.
  • Gaisie Ampong is equally driven, inspired by the idea that women can build and fix things just as well as men — if not better. She sees this program as a step toward independence and impact.

This Is Possible Because of You

We owe the launch of this initiative to the generous support of a few early believers:

  • Integrated Legal Consultants
  • Ameyaw Debrah
  • Vision With V
  • Cleopatra Nsia Nketiah
  • Rain Angels

Their donations and encouragement helped us cover training fees, provide starter toolkits, and offer basic support for Anne and Gaisie as they begin their journey.

What’s Next?

The program will run for [insert duration], in partnership with a local accredited vocational training institute. The curriculum includes practical plumbing skills, workplace safety, customer service, and entrepreneurship. By the end of the course, our trainees will be equipped to enter the job market or launch their own small plumbing businesses.

We’ll be documenting their progress — with videos, interviews, and success stories — to inspire others and attract more sponsors for our next batch of women.

Get Involved

We’re actively seeking more sponsors, partners, tool donors, and mentors to help us scale this program to reach more women across Ghana.

Together, we’re proving that a wrench in a woman’s hand can build a future.
