Ghana – She Exports To Over 5 Countries

Sadika Esi is not just a marketer; she is a visionary on a mission to showcase Africa’s fashion prowess to the world. A graduate in marketing from the University of Professional Studies in Accra, Ghana, Sadika ventured into the world of entrepreneurship by founding Alewah Garments Manufacturing in 2018.

Her journey began with a question: How can marketing be used to project Africa globally? This question led her to create a platform that empowers businesses in Ghana to expand their market share beyond Africa’s borders. In 2019, she established her studio, where she and her team craft exquisite African outfits and garments, blending tradition with modernity.

In an interview with Just4WomenAfrica, Sadika candidly shared the challenges she faced in setting up her business. Finding the right people who share her vision proved to be a hurdle, along with the common struggle of financing for startups. Undeterred, Sadika personally oversees the design process at Alewah Garments Manufacturing, constantly striving for quality improvements. To enhance her design skills, she even enrolled in a fashion school.

Alewah Garments Manufacturing focuses primarily on wholesaling fashion items and producing for various brands. Their main market encompasses exports to the UK, US, Europe, and Asia, with a minimum wholesale order starting from 50 pieces upward.

Sadika’s ambitious plans include establishing a “Made in Africa” mall, a hub where African products can shine on a global stage.

Through Alewah Garments Manufacturing, Sadika Esi exemplifies the spirit of African entrepreneurship, blending creativity, quality, and a vision for global impact.
